Arrival and First Day Schedule

Registration

Sunday 4:00 to 6:00, on the 2nd floor of Capistrano Hall. If you are not staying in the dorms, please come directly to Capistrano Hall (campus map area H-3) between 4 and 6.

Dorms

For those of you staying in the dorm, our housing coordinator, Angel Contreras, will be at the American River Courtyard (campus map area C-6) between 3:00 and 4:30 to give you your key so that you can drop off your luggage. You’ll then proceed to Capistrano (campus map area H-3) to register. After 4:30 you can still stop by the dorm and get your key, but you won’t receive Angel’s personal greeting and guidance. The desk attendant will have your keys.

Dorm Internet is available for a fee (paid at the housing office).

Bring an Ethernet Cable with you to avoid renting one.

Breakfast:

All dorm suites are equipped with kitchenettes, so we do not provide breakfast.

Breakfast is also available at various campus eateries for cash payment.

The kitchenettes are not stocked. You will get more details about your rooms in an

email from Angel.

Swimming Pool: There is a swimming pool near the dormitory.

Payment

In an email prior to the workshop you will receive an individual invoice. We are able to accept cash or checks (made out to Sacramento State) for tuition, but please bring cash to pay your $60 meal fee (cash is also welcomed for other fees).  Your invoice should show a total of $345 weekly tuition, $60 weekly meal fee, plus whatever housing option you selected minus any deposits/payments you have made and scholarships received.  If payments have been submitted in the last few weeks, they may not be reflected on this invoice. Your $60 meal fee gets you M/T/TH/FR dinner and W lunch plus generous snacks, all catered in the music building

SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS

Scholarship students will receive an email with orientation instructions.

Sunday Dinner

From 6-7 a light meal will be available, which will cost $5 per person (in addition to

the weekly meal fee.)

Sunday Info Meeting

At 7:00 in room 151 we will have a brief informational meeting followed by the usual “Aleatoric” free-lance session. It is vital that you let us know in advance if you will be late in arriving so that we may correctly balance the free-lance activity. At the information meeting you will receive a detailed schedule for the week, along with other important information.  Please plan to attend and be on time

Parking

We will have weekly permits available at registration for about $15 (exact pricing TBA). Your permit will allow you to park in the residence hall parking lot and in the 6-story garage next to Capistrano Hall (use the student entrance off of Sinclair Drive).  Permits are NOT necessary Sunday evening.

T-Shirts

We will be selling t-shirts at registration for $10, first come-first served.

Emergency Contact

An emergency contact number has been provided in an email. Please contact me (Pete) if you need it.
